Scott shares over 30 years of experience in professional services and technology industries predominantly in sales and marketing. Prior to affiliating with KMG, Scott spent six years as principal of his own sales consulting firm helping clients such as Restaurant.com, LTW, HealthString, Service Electronics, Tri-plex Industries and Calumet Photographic dramatically increase revenues through sales refinement and execution strategies. Through his work and affiliation with KMG, Scott has consistently implemented sales systems that have delivered quantum growth in sales, profits, and pipelines. So, he is a powerful force among the KMG team.
Prior to launching his own firm, Scott was Vice President, Corporate Development at uBid.com, a CMGI Company. He was primarily responsible for blending B2B merchandising strategies, reverse logistics services, and online marketplace technology into a new and efficient sales channel for liquidation of OEM and mass merchant merchandise. Scott built strategic partnerships (Sears, Channel Advisor, IBM, Gateway, Best Buy, and eBay) across a range of trade and distribution channels. He helps our clients capitalize on that same mindset today.
Scott has also owned and operated The Dettmers Company and Shutter Décor, two high-end architectural millwork manufacturing and general contracting companies, where he served as President and General Manager of day-to-day operations. Prior to these engagements, he was with Merrill Lynch as a retail stockbroker.
The diversity of his experience and his keen understanding of the challenges facing emerging businesses that are desirous of scale make Scott and ideal advocate for KMG clients.
